W: He smiled at me, then hurried away. It was only a few seconds later that I realized my handbag was gone. He must have taken it when he knocked into me. All my keys, money and credit cards are in that bag. Please help me!
M: Please stay calm. We”ll be with you as soon as possible.

W: Well, thank you. I have done this kind of work before. I love children, and of course I did a good job raising my own son.
M: Are you interested in part-time or full-time employment?
W: Only part-time, forty hours in one week is too much for me.
M: You know that part-time employees don”t get any other benefits besides their wages.
W: Yes. I”m aware of that. May I ask you if I can decide the hours I would work?
M: I can only give you the choice of working from 7: 00 a.m. fill noon or from noon till 5: 00 p.m. Our part-time work week is 25 hours.
W: I”d prefer to work in the morning because I have a lot of work to do around the house every day. And besides, I have to prepare dinner for my husband.
M: OK. Mrs. Sharp, or should I say Eddie, you”re hired. Just sign your name on this sheet of paper. You may start next week. Mrs. Clarkson has got something ready for you

W: Ed! Haven”t seen you for a long time. I heard that you took a trip.

M: It sure was. It was definitely the most unusual thing I saw on the trip.
W: Yeah? Where did you go then?
M: We took a plane and flew to North Queensland and went out on a boat to the Great Barrier Reef.
W: Wow! Did you go scuba diving?
M: Yeah, it was really exciting. I even saw a shark.
W: You”re kidding! That must have been scary. And then, what did you do?
M: Well, after a few days there we took another plane, this time down to Sydney, and I spent a few days there, shopping in the day, and going out at night.
W: How was that?
M: Oh, it was so much fun. I loved Sydney, there was so much to do.
W: It sounds like you had a great holiday,
M: I really did.

W: It”s that time of year again. It”s awards show season. No, I”m not talking about the Nobel Prizes. I”m talking about the entertainment awards. Many stars get together at award ceremonies and the winners are announced. My favorites are the Emmy Awards for television, the Academy Awards for the movies, and the Grammy Awards for records. But, I”m up for almost any award show
－the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards, even the People”s Choice Awards.For some people, the best part of watching the award shows is the pre-show. The stars arrive on the red carpet and are interviewed. Sometimes what they are wearing, made by the top designers and jewelers, gets more attention than anything they say. But, as for me, the most exciting part is when the winners are announced and you never know what will come out of their mouths when they win
