After nearly 138 days at sea, Chinese sailor Guo Chuan successfully returned to his starting point to become the first Chinese man to complete non-stop solo circumnavigation of the world.

The 48-year-old set off from Qingdao last November; he travelled across the Pacific Ocean, sailed into the Atlantic Ocean, then went into the Indian Ocean via the Cape of Good Hope before crossing the Sunda Strait in Indonesia to return to Qingdao.
